 What are the Possible Causes of the DTC P0121 Nissan?


Faulty throttle position sensor. 

Throttle position sensor harness is open or shorted 

Throttle position sensor circuit poor electrical connection 

Faulty accelerator pedal position sensor


How to fix p0121 Nissan code?


Use a voltmeter and scan tool to test the TPS sensor, throttle and replace the broken one 

Check the connectors of your wire harness

Repair or replace any loose or corroded connections

Replace the entire harness if you see any signs of moisture

Clear the code and test drive your vehicle

When persist replace the ECU.


Code P0121 Nissan Description

Signaled when your powertrain control module receives an incorrect signal from your throttle position sensor, or TPS. Your TPS is connected to a reference wire with five volts and typically a ground wire.

What are Code Possible Symptoms? 

  • Engine Light ON or Service Engine Soon Warning Light.
  • No acceleration when accelerator pedal depressed.
